Bible Homiletics is a community platform where users practice writing structured homiletic analyses of weekly Bible texts. Each week a new passage is posted, and you write your own homiletic - observing the text, dividing it into sections, summarizing the main idea, discovering the core truth, and applying it to your life. Published homiletics appear in a shared feed where others can read, like, and comment.

A new Bible text is posted each week. You can start writing your homiletic as soon as the text is available. You can save drafts and come back to edit before publishing. Once you publish, your homiletic becomes visible to the community in the public feed.

A homiletic is a structured analysis of a Bible passage used to prepare for preaching or teaching. It follows five steps: observe, divide, summarize, core truth, and apply. Bible Homiletics provides a guided wizard to help you work through each step.

Not at all. Bible Homiletics is for anyone who wants to study the Bible more deeply - whether you are a pastor, seminary student, small group leader, or simply someone who enjoys structured Bible study. The guided format helps both beginners and experienced users.

Groups let you study together with others. A group leader creates a group and invites members. Group members can see each other's submissions for the weekly text, track participation, and encourage one another. Groups are great for classes, study circles, or accountability partners.

Currently, once a homiletic is published it cannot be edited. This encourages thoughtful preparation before publishing. You can save your work as a draft and revise it as many times as you like before you publish.

Yes, Bible Homiletics is free to use. You can create an account, write homiletics, join groups, and participate in the community at no cost.

A sermon sketch is a structured sermon outline you can create from any completed homiletic. It helps you turn your Bible study into a ready-to-preach format with sections for audience, introduction, main points, gospel connection, conclusion, and notes. Your sketches are private and auto-save as you write.

After submitting a homiletic, you will see a pencil icon next to it in your homiletics list. Click it to start a new sermon sketch based on that study. You can also create a sketch from the sidebar when viewing any published homiletic. Each sketch can be downloaded as a PDF when completed.

You can delete your account from your account settings page. When you delete your account, your personal information is permanently removed. Published homiletics and comments are kept but attributed to "Deleted user" to preserve community discussions. Drafts and likes are permanently deleted.
